Lorna K. Hanley earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Journalism from Morgan State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Education with a concentration in Administration and Supervision from The College of Notre Dame of Maryland. After a stint at WJZ-TV, Ms.Hanley could no longer resist her lifelong passion of
serving youth and proudly served as an English instructor for eight years at Walbrook High School. While pursuing
school administration, with New Leaders for New Schools, Ms. Hanley served as a Resident |

Principal at Digital Harbor High School. Lorna believes BLSYW a divine assignment and a
marriage of her two passions; education and the empowerment of young women, “BLSYW is my life’s work, and I consider this new endeavor a tremendous challenge, a great opportunity, and a serious responsibility.” While she was reared and educated in neighboring Prince George's County, Maryland, Lorna has made the Baltimore metropolitan area her home.

Brenda Brown Rever
Born and raised in Baltimore, she is a graduate
of the University of Maryland, College Park, and a product
of the Baltimore City Public School System. Ms. Rever
is a leader in the philanthropic community and a champion
for public and private education, the Jewish community
and the empowerment of women. She views this school
as an opportunity to develop young women who will be
well educated and aware of their strengths in order
to participate in life as meaningful Leaders in tomorrow's
world. |
